Gosford Car Museum Goes to Auction

On April 6th and 7th 2019, the largest privately owned classic car collection in southern hemisphere will go to auction. With so many rare and collectable cars and motorcycles going to auction at one time, it could be one of your best opportunities to garage yourself a classic bargain.

Auctioneers Lloyd’s are saying that most cars are to be listed unreserved with most bids starting at $1! Imagine that – a 1985 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV starting at $1. That would have to be a world first.

I was lucky to visit the Gosford Classic Car Museum about 1 year ago and absolutely loved it. A massive warehouse (Ex Bunning’s building) was home to some of the most desirable and rare cars on the planet. Probably my only gripe was that you couldn’t really take a look inside the cars because they keep the car doors shut. Part of my admiration for these classic cars is the patina on the inside and the layout of dials and controls in the drivers cockpit.

Unfortunately the Gosford Classic Car Museum is closing its doors due to a tax dispute with ATO. Their loss could be your win.
